

Kansas City is situated in the middle of America ~ the “Heartland of the USA”. It is a relatively stable economic area when compared to many other areas in the US. Its economy does not have the highs or lows of the East or West Coast States. Its real estate market reflects this.
The area has a significant farming and distribution base and it is also home to some huge International Corporations; Sprint-Nextel, Hallmark Cards, Bayer, Hills Animal Nutrition, H&R Block, Yellow Trucking Company, Garmin and Kansas City Railroads to name a few. There are many other large corporations with significant operations here as well.
The state of Missouri has a population of approx 5.9 Million. Kansas City Area has a population of 2.5 million. Its ethnic mix is approximately 73% European, 22% African American, and 4% Hispanic.
